Koska edellisen postauksen kuvista tykättiin, tässä vähän lisää. Julkaisen tässä kuvia lähinnä itsestäni, en ollakseni kamalan itsekeskeinen vaan siksi etten ole kysynyt kavereilta lupaa sellaisten kuvien näyttämiseen jossa itse ovat.

Seuraava Nuijasota on muuten 9.-18.7. 2010. Kannattaa laittaa kalenteriin ja harkintaan!

Because people seemed to like the pictures, here’s some more. I’m mostly posting pictures of myself – not to be horribly self-centered, but because I don’t know if all the people in the group pics would like their pictures posted online.

BTW, the next Cudgel War is on 9.-18.7.2010. If you’ve ever thought about eventing in Finland, this is one long and laidback event worth visiting!

Kasvivärjäyksen tuloksia. Väriaineina pihapiirin kasveja, mm. nokkonen ja horsma. Lankoina Veera ja Pirkka. Luonnossa värit ovat vielä kirkkaampia ja syvempiä.
Dyeing results. All the colours are made with plants from around the camp, like nettles. (I’m really poor with plant names in English, have to make an edit when I know what all the plants are called.) The yarns are Veera and Pirkka. The picture doesn’t do justice to the vibrant colors.

Kirjonnan krhm… edistystä. Laskettu kirjonta etenee itse asiassa mukavasti, mutta tässä olin juuri huomannut pienen virheen kirjonnassa, mikä oli.. turhauttavaa. :D Pitäisi myös hankkia/tehdä keskiaikasempi kirjontakehys.

Embroidery ahem… progress. My counted thread embroidery is actually progressing quite nicely but as this picture was taken, I realized I had made a little mistake, which was.. frustrating. :D I should also get/make a more medieval embroidery frame.

Tässä kuvassa ryppyhuntu pääsee oikeuksiinsa. Se näyttää parhaalta kunnon peittävän leukaliinan kanssa. Kruunu ei ehkä oikein istu, mutta tänä iltana se oli vähän pakollinen.

This picture shows the frilled veil in all it’s frothy glory. I like wearing it best with a rather full wimple. It would look better without the coronet, but that was a bit obligatory on this evening.
