The snowy background made the blue hues stand out and in some pictures the dress was almost purple.<\/p>\n I chose to make a lacing instead of buttons like on the original since I knew I’d like to wear it under an overdress. The buttonhole edge is finished with a silk braid.\u00c2\u00a0 The buttons are a little closer together than on the original and end at the elbow instead of going all the way up.
