Jatkossa voitte odottaa Neulakolta tarkempia, v\u00e4rikyll\u00e4isempi\u00e4 ja kaiken kaikkiaan parempia kuvia.<\/p>\n

Tavoitteena on, etten joudu en\u00e4\u00e4 kirjoittamaan perinteist\u00e4 ”kuva on tosi huono mutta” – pahoittelua, joka on ollut t\u00e4\u00e4ll\u00e4 v\u00e4h\u00e4n h\u00e4vett\u00e4v\u00e4n yleinen.<\/p>\n

Nyt kankaiden ja lankojen ihanat v\u00e4rit p\u00e4\u00e4sev\u00e4t paremmin oikeuksiinsa ja museoesineist\u00e4kin pit\u00e4isi saada tarkempia ja zoomatumpia kuvia.<\/p>\n

Ostin Canon Powershot G11:n<\/a>, jonka t\u00e4rkeimm\u00e4t ominaisuudet ovat kyky ottaa kuvia huonossa valossa (museot) ja hyv\u00e4 makrotoiminto (k\u00e4sit\u00f6iden kuvaaminen)<\/p>\n

Ylimm\u00e4ss\u00e4 kuvassa on t\u00e4m\u00e4nhetkinen yksi projektini. Voitin vuodenvaihteessa maanmainion Billy and Charlie<\/a>-tinakaupan FB-sivun kilpailusta valitsemani tuotepalkinnon. Halusin besantteja, eli metallisia vaatteeseen kiinni ommeltavia koristeita. Ne ovat harmillisen harvinaisia keskiaikakauppiaiden valikoimissa. Olin surffannut koko internetin, yritt\u00e4nyt tehd\u00e4 niit\u00e4 itse (hyvin puutteellisilla metallity\u00f6v\u00e4lineill\u00e4=tulos muistutti junan alle j\u00e4\u00e4nytt\u00e4 sorsanjalkaa) sek\u00e4 ollut menossa ty\u00f6pajaan joka harmillisesti peruuntui. Ja nyt posti pudotti koristeet postiluukusta. Niit\u00e4 oli lis\u00e4ksi paljon enemm\u00e4n kuin olisin ikin\u00e4 osannut toivoakaan: 96 kappaletta!<\/p>\n

Ompelin ne t\u00e4h\u00e4n p\u00e4\u00e4llysmekkoon<\/a>. Siin\u00e4 on ollutkin hommaa. Ennen viikonloppua pit\u00e4isi ehti\u00e4 ommella kuusi pient\u00e4 tinaista lehte\u00e4. Otan viikonloppuna kuvia koko asusta. Besantit n\u00e4ytt\u00e4v\u00e4t kyll\u00e4 jo nyt eritt\u00e4in hyv\u00e4lt\u00e4, mutta uskon ett\u00e4 todellisiin oikeuksiinsa ne p\u00e4\u00e4sev\u00e4t kynttil\u00e4nliekin valossa.<\/p>\n

Guess what I have?<\/p>\n

I finally acquired the real and proper camera I’ve been talking about! (Hooray!) From now on you can expect brighter, more realistic, more colourful and just downright better pictures from Neulakko. I hope I’ll never have to give you the usual excuse of ”the pics are really poor but I took them with my phone” which I’ve had to write more than I woudl have wanted in the past. Now I can do justice to the lovely colours in the yarns and fabric! And the museum pics will be less blurry and zoomed much closer than before.<\/p>\n

My camera is a Canon Powershot G11<\/a>. I adore it. I prize the good macro (for taking closeup pictures of projects) and the zoom (for good museum pictures).<\/p>\n

The picture on the top shows one of my current projects. I won Billy and Charlies<\/a> (known for their great pewter goods) facebook fan\u00c2\u00a0 page contest around new years. I got to choose a product of my liking and opted for the bezants. Bezants (aka metall dress ornaments that are sewn onto the fabric) have been notoriously hard to find. I haver surfed preactically the entire internet, tried to make some (with practically no metalwork tools=utter disaster) and enrolled in a workshop which then got cancelled. And now, finally, the bezants arrived via my mailbox. And there were much more than I had anticipated- a whopping 96 of them!<\/p>\n

That has been quite a bit of sewing. Now there’s only six more to go before the weekend. I’ll post pictures of the finished outfit next week. I’m adding the bezants to this overdress<\/a>. They look really good together, but I expect the bezants to be at their best in candlelight.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
