Viime viikonloppuna olin tapahtumassa, jossa sit\u00e4 taikaa j\u00e4lleen oli. Olo on ollut tyytyv\u00e4inen ja \u00e4imistynyt kuin ensimm\u00e4isten tapahtumien j\u00e4lkeen. Ihmettelee miten mukavia ja taitavia ihmiset voivatkaan olla, miten hienoja juttuja osataan tehd\u00e4, miten herkullista ruokaa saadaan aikaiseksi ja miten reilun sadan ihmisen kanssa voi olla l\u00e4mpim\u00e4n kodikas tunnelma. Enk\u00e4 taida olla n\u00e4iss\u00e4 fiiliksiss\u00e4 yksin.
\nSe ei tullut yhdest\u00e4 asiasta, mutta kaikki ne onnistumisen elementit yhdess\u00e4 tekiv\u00e4t viikonlopusta aivan ainutlaatuisen kokemuksen.<\/p>\n
Ihmiset olivat hyv\u00e4ll\u00e4 tuulella. Yleinen tunnelma oli mainio. Sattui aurinkoinen s\u00e4\u00e4 ja hauska tapahtumapaikka oli aivan edukseen. Juhlia oli valmisteltu uskomattomalla pieteetill\u00e4, tehty ehe\u00e4 kokonaisuus ja rakastettu yksityiskohtia. Kaikki loksahti kohdilleen.<\/p>\n
Suuri osuus oli mainiolla musiikilla, jota ei voi saada kyllikseen. Vierailevat t\u00e4hdet muodostivat seuran omien soittajien kanssa toimivan b\u00e4ndin, joka s\u00e4esti yl\u00e4parvelta suussasulavia kalevalaisia pitoja. Livemusiikissa on sit\u00e4 jotain. Ja s\u00e4kkipilli, se nyt vaan on ihana soitin.<\/p>\n
Illan kruunasi kaikkien naisten tanssima muinaissuomalaishenkinen tanssi, joka oli yht\u00e4 aikaa h\u00e4mment\u00e4v\u00e4 ja melkein maaginen kokemus. Er\u00e4skin yst\u00e4v\u00e4 kuvasi tunnelmaa sellaiseksi, ett\u00e4 oli kosketuksessa sis\u00e4iseen esi\u00e4itiins\u00e4. ;) Oli niin \u00e4rm\u00e4k\u00e4t kinkerit, ett\u00e4 uudet patiinit meniv\u00e4t halki.<\/p>\n

Magic<\/strong><\/p>\n After some years in re-enactment, one tends to become pickier when it comes to events. Not that they wouldn’t be fun – they usually are, but the experiences become more ”normal” and less ”knock-you-off-your-feet”.<\/p>\n However, the event last weekend was totally magical. I’ve been as happy and amazed as I was after my first events. I’m in awe of how nice and talented people can be, what great things they can make and accomplish, how delicious food can be and how you can feel like you’re bonding with over a hundred people. And what I gather, I’m not the only one feeling this way.<\/p>\n As usual, it’s not just one thing you can put your finger on, but rather a lot of things put together that made the weekend so special.<\/p>\n Everyone was in a good mood, the weather was nice and sunny and the site was at its best. The preparations had been done with great care and a lot of attention had been put into the details. Everything fell in place.<\/p>\n A big thing was live music. Visiting musicians played well together with our ”own” musicians, providing a musical background to feasting. (We also had a bagpipe. I love bagpipes. And a lute. Lutes are also very nice.) And what delicious food we had! The theme was Kalevala (ancient finnish epic) and the interpretation was exceedingly tasty.<\/p>\n The feast ended in an ancent finnish dance, which was performed by all the women on site. Participating in it felt both a confusing and almost magical.
