Osa teist\u00e4 varmaankin muistaa viel\u00e4 lupaamani lettiohjeen. Se on edelleen tulossa! Otin ohjetta varten kuvia tammikuun alussa, mutta siihen aikaan vuodesta on hurjan huono valaistus, joten en ole kuviin oikein tyytyv\u00e4inen. Kuvat piti ottaa uudelleen, mutta pian sen j\u00e4lkeen hiukset alkoivat pudota p\u00e4\u00e4st\u00e4 (ei h\u00e4t\u00e4\u00e4, se on normaalia) ja juuri nyt ohimoleteist\u00e4ni tulisi takuulla surkeat suiperot. Olen arponut asiaa suuntaan ja toiseen, mutta p\u00e4\u00e4dyin siihen ett\u00e4 teen ohjeen niill\u00e4 huonoilla kuvilla.<\/p>\n

This is me, trying on my medieval clothes for the first time in a loooooong while!<\/p>\n

Having clothes that fit is essential, since I am, together with fellow Merry Swans Riku and Mervi, participating in the opening ceremonies of \u00c2\u00a0a new exhibition at the Historiska Museet (Historical museum)<\/a> in Stockholm, Sweden! The exhibition is called Medieval Massacre and it is about the famous battle of Wisby in 1361. The one where the danes fought the people on Gotland and many people ended up buried in the mass graves. The excavations from these graves are presented in the exhibition, with some interesting new research too. At the opening 14th century life is also illustrated via living history displays. This is what we have been invited to do. Fantastic!<\/p>\n

There will also be a fashion show, which means that having clothes that fit is sort of essential. I was really worried that nothing would fit anymore, since I have lost more than 20 kilos since these pictures were taken<\/a>. Good old medieval dresses! One can always count on them to live up to changes in life and figure. So far, the only real loss (besides twice amount of kilos I gained when pregnant, go figure) seems to be that my <\/span>plaque belt<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0is now so big it falls off my hips. Booo.<\/span><\/p>\n

All of this TMI also has to do with the templar braid tutorial I promised. It is still in the works! I took pictures in early January, but the light was so bad they turned out not all that good. Soon after, my hair started falling out (it’s completely normal). So now my templars are puny little things compared to their usual thickness. I’ve gone back and forth thinking about what to do, but now I have decided to try work with the poor quality pictures and go ahead with the tutorial anyway. So stay tuned.<\/span><\/p>\n
