Jalkapuolella olen jo valmis kes\u00e4\u00e4n, kiitos taitavien yst\u00e4vien. Kuvassa n\u00e4ette uudenkarheat patinukset ja melko uudet k\u00e4rs\u00e4keng\u00e4t.<\/p>\n

Keng\u00e4t sain Emelt\u00e4 lahjaksi, sain lahjakortilla tilata sellaiset keng\u00e4t kuin halusin. Toivoin k\u00e4rs\u00e4kk\u00e4it\u00e4, avoimehkoja kenki\u00e4 – inspiraationa toimi t\u00e4m\u00e4 Bruggessa n\u00e4hty kaunis ja siro keskiaikainen kenk\u00e4<\/a>. Yhdenn\u00e4k\u00f6isyys on merkitt\u00e4v\u00e4!<\/p>\n

K\u00e4rs\u00e4kk\u00e4it\u00e4 kenki\u00e4 on aika v\u00e4h\u00e4n tarjolla keskiaikakenki\u00e4 myyvill\u00e4. Syy voi olla siin\u00e4, ett\u00e4 tuo k\u00e4rs\u00e4 on hankala ommella.\u00c2\u00a0 Tykk\u00e4\u00e4n n\u00e4ist\u00e4 kengist\u00e4 ihan \u00e4lytt\u00f6m\u00e4sti, k\u00e4velless\u00e4 k\u00e4rs\u00e4t vilkkuvat hauskasti mekon helman alta. Eik\u00e4 niiden kanssa ole oikeastaan yht\u00e4\u00e4n hankala k\u00e4vell\u00e4.<\/p>\n

Eik\u00e4 ole patinuksillakaan, sill\u00e4 ne ovat saranallista mallia. P\u00e4ki\u00e4n alla on nahkasarana, joten niill\u00e4 voi k\u00e4vell\u00e4 ihan normaalisti, kummempia keikuttelematta. Patinukset ovat Rikun pajasta. Ne ovat ohutpohjaisille keskiaikaisille k\u00e4\u00e4nt\u00f6kengille korvaamaton pari varsinkin kosteilla ja kylmill\u00e4 keleill\u00e4. Ne erist\u00e4v\u00e4t kylm\u00e4\u00e4 ja auttavat pit\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n jalat kuivina. Olen k\u00e4ytt\u00e4nyt jo yhden parin t\u00e4mm\u00f6isi\u00e4 puhki ja vaikka millaisissa oloissa niill\u00e4 on tullut vedetty\u00e4.<\/p>\n

My feet are all ready for the summer, thanks to my talented friends! In the picture you can see my brand new pattens and my new pointy shoes.<\/p>\n

The shoes are a gift from Eme. She gave me a gift certificate which entitled me to order any kind of shoes I wanted. I wanted ladylike shoes with pointy poulaines – inspired by this lovely shoe <\/a>I saw in Bruges. And\u00c2\u00a0 you can see the resemblance!<\/p>\n

It is hard to find poulaines with a long toe. Probably because the pointy bit is a bit of a bother to sew? I love these shoes, I adore the way in which the poulaines peek from beneath my hem when I walk around in them! And they’re not at all difficult to walk in.<\/p>\n

And that goes for the pattens too, since they are the hinged kind. Under the ball of the foot,\u00c2\u00a0 there is a leather hinge, which makes the patten flex as you walk. So you can walk normally and comfortably. I’ve already outworn one pair of these and I used them in the most difficult of conditions.<\/p>\n

I find pattens to be a very useful and necessary accessory for turnshoes, especially in cold and wet weather (which describes most of the weather here in Finland). They provide insulation from the cold ground and help keep your feet dry.<\/p>\n
